Founder Kylie Nakao moved to New York City from Toronto to study Fashion Marketing and Merchandising at Parsons. Nakao’s experience as a buyer for a specialty store gave her the experience and insights to bring her ideas to life.
The Stackable Collection, her first collection, launched the brand with a line of earring and rings for everyday use. From the start, Nakao established the Tarin Thomas vision: “Jewelry that is functional, elegant, and timeless, just like the city it's made in.”
With all the pieces handmade in New York City using the finest materials, Tarin Thomas finds inspirations around the city for their exceptional pieces. The “Lucky You” collection uses malachite and white mother of pearl for the elegant checkerboard design.
